This beautiful historic space is saved from intimidating grandeur by little ironic touches. Bright fuschia couches, modern bar stools and high-backed chairs upholstered in red all combine to create a space that is impressive, but not arrogant. The food is a similar mixture of the traditional and the innovative. Modern Italian dishes are interesting and tasty, but the selection of pastas and risottos are superb.
